Bike Ride on Silver Comet Trail

Aunt Leanne, Uncle Mike, and her sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew, Nathan, Sofia and I all went for a bike ride on the Silver Comet Trail. It's only a couple of miles from our house in Atlanta. "This quiet, non-motorized trail is for walkers, hikers, bicyclists, roller bladers, horses, dog walkers, and is wheel chair accessible. The Silver Comet is paved for over 37 miles starting at Mavell Road in Smyrna to Water Street in historic downtown Rockmart. When completed, the Silver Comet Trail will start in Smyrna, Georgia and end at the Georgia / Alabama state line."

We didn't get to the Alabama state line, but we did go a few miles. We rode far enough to make it to a bike shop that sold cold drinks and ice cream! So we ate all the calories we burned on the bike ride! TOO FUNNY!! That's pretty normal for bike rides that Leanne and I go on!!!!

The coolest thing was seeing Sofia ride her new Chariot that her Uncle Jose Ernesto and Aunt Claudette got for her baby present. It's this 4 wheel trailer that hooks on to the back of your bike. She rode behind Nathan and absolutely LOVED it!!! The trailer even converts into a jogging stroller. It's REALLY NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here are a few pictures.

It was an absolutely fantastic time with good friends!!
