Rubi & Dudley get their FIRST haircut!!
Nathan has been trying to talk me into giving the dogs "summer cuts" for a couple of years now. I finally gave in this year since they have started to shed and our time this spring to sweep the house will be limited due to the baby's arrival!!!! They look so pitiful :o) Dudley looks two-toned - his undercoat is a lot lighter of a color than his top coat! It looks like his head is floating!! Rubi's undercoat is a similar color, so she just looks more like a puppy. Here are some funny pictures! Poor babies!

And here are a couple of cute pictures of Sofia hanging out and wearing her cool BUZZ hat from Uncle Doug.

Nathan Puts Border and Mulch around Sofia's Playset
As I have been nesting getting ready for Baby Girl #2, so has Nathan!! He put the border/frame around Sofia's playset and put down 56 bags of playground mulch! It looks SOOOO nice - he even made an angle with the landscape timbers that matches the angle on our deck (see video).
The mulch has actually already served it's purpose. Sofia was climbing up the rock wall and fell backwards off of the top step and was FINE! She was a little startled, but all in one piece! YAY FOR DADDY!!!!!!!!!

Abby & Molly (and Jody & Rob) come over to play
Here is a cute video of the girls on the swing. I think both Sofia and Molly were exhausted by this point - Abby could have gone on for another hour!!

Hanging out with Kelsey and Stacy
In between a LLL meeting and a midwife appointment, Sofia and I went to hang out at Stacy and Kelsey's house (Alex lives there too :o). Here is a cute picture of Kelsey trying to push Sofia in her car. I wish I would have gotten the video about 10 seconds sooner because she pushed her all the way across the kitchen! TOO CUTE!!!
Another Great St. Patrick's Day Dinner from Chef Carolyn
The dinner was even better than I remembered!!! We had corned beef, cabbage, carrots, mashed potatoes (with cabbage in them!), and Irish soda bread. YUM! YUM! For dessert, Aunt Sheila brought an Irish-American dish - Apple turnovers :o)
We had a great time hanging out with everyone. If it looks like Sofia is a little tired in this picture, it's because she is! She normally goes to bed by 8 p.m. This picture was taken at about 9:30 p.m.! But it was TOTALLY worth it! We ate like royalty and Sofia slept like a queen that night :o)
Thanks Carolyn and Uncle Andy for having us again!
AP Meeting
Abby and Sophie were back in town this month for a couple of weeks! It was really nice to get to see them several times throughout her visit. She came to all of our ususal meetings - LLL and AP, etc. Here are some cute pictures.
Here are Sofia, Rhea and Sophie swinging at the park after the AP meeting.
And here is Alea getting ready to "feed" Rhea :o)
And here is Sofia being brave on the playset at the park.

Last minute trip to Winston-Salem
I got to see so many great friends!! Kris and Craig hosted me last minute on Friday night! Brenda and Kim Blakely and Kim (Kris' sister) actually were at her house when I arrived around 7:30 p.m. We had such a great time that I forgot to take a picture! BOO!!!! It was so good to see them. I hadn't seen Brenda and Kim in over a year!
Then Saturday I went and got a facial at my old salon!! NICE!!! That afternoon I headed over to Leanne's house where she showed me how she makes her WORLD FAMOUS chocolate chip cookies - she was making some for me to take home!!! Awwww!!!!! Kathy and Summer and Mary came over that evening for dinner too. It was just so nice to get to catch up with everyone - and have conversations that could last more than 5 seconds (normally Sofia is hollering about something or into something, so it's a little distracting)!
Also, on my way out of town I stopped by to see Laura Thomas. We just chatted like we'd just seen each other last week!!!
I LOVE YOU ALL and MISS YOU so much! Thanks for being such wonderful friends to me. I don't know what I'd do without each and every one of you in my life!!!!!

Mami (Abuelita) comes to visit
My mom was in town this week! YAY!!!! We had such a great time and the trip was not nearly long enough - but it was great to have her here!
As you know, Sofia wakes up pretty early in the morning. Here lately Nathan has been getting up with her while he's getting ready for work and lets me sleep in until he leaves for work (because I'm sooooo tired and he's a GOOD husband). While Mami was here, she got up with Sofia in the morning which meant Nathan could sleep in a little longer and I could sleep in even longer! YAY for Mami!!!!! We didn't really do anything exciting while she was here - she just helped us out A LOT!!!!! She took us grocery shopping, cooked, and got us a house cleaner for a few months while I'm big and pregnant and for a little while after baby #2 arrives!!!!! DOUBLE YAY!!! Unfortunately Sofia had some sort of virus while Mami was here (I think she caught it the week before Mami got here). So Mami got thrown up on TWICE, she changed many runny diapers and generally dealt with a tired and grumpy Sofia! Poor Mami - I think she was tired when she went home and I think she had a little bit of a cold too - SORRY MAMI!!!!! She even put Sofia to bed 2 times - once so Nathan and I could go see a movie and the next night so that we could go to our Waterbirth class!!! It truly was a HUGE help having her here. I think I almost had a meltdown that afternoon after she left!!!
Here is a cute video of Mami swinging and singing with Sofia on the play set! Sofia still just LOVES to swing! GRACIAS MAMI!!!!!!
