Thanksgiving Day with Nathan's Family

This year we went spent Thanksgiving Day with Nathan's family. We all cooked something and brought it to Nathan's cousin Joseph and his wife Hope's house. They just built this beautiful house in Newnan, GA. We had a great time seeing everyone and eating and hanging out. Here is a picture of a few looking at the Black Friday sale papers after dinner.

And here is Sofia laughing and having fun (with a biscuit in her hand - that girl is always eating now)!!! Check out her cute little "Baby Legs." They are tights that stop at the top of the leg so that they aren't so cumbersome around the crotch. I need to get some "adult legs" for myself - they look like they are really comfortable!!!

Thanksgiving morning I started to feel really badly. By the end of dinner that night I was miserable - chills, fever, aching, etc. We went home early and I spent the rest of the weekend in bed!! SAD because we were supposed to go to Tallahassee with my mom, brother, Claudette (Jose's wife) and Nancy (Mami's friend). They went to the FSU vs. Florida football game. My brother went to Florida and my mom got her masters and PhD at FSU, so they are rivals! My brother has the better end of that deal usually :o)

Playgroup with Tricia's kids at Deirdre's House

Today we went to Deirdre's house for a playgroup. Tricia's mom, who lives in Lawrenceville, is taking care of her kids while she and Bo have a vacation. She brought them over to play with us. It was really cold today (like 35 degrees F), but they had so much fun playing inside and outside anyway! Kids really don't care about cold!! FUN TIMES - here are some cute pictures.

Sofia Practicing Her Pregnant Belly

I've been trying to prepare Sofia for her little sister or brother by putting one of her little baby dolls under my shirt and telling her "Mami has a baby in her belly," but in Spanish "Mami tiene un bebe en la barriga!" Also that she needs to love and kiss the baby! She thinks it's really funny and wanted to have the baby in her belly. Here are some cute pictures of that - she's even holding that belly up because it's so heavy - just like I will!!

DE JA VU - Sofia has ANOTHER fever!!!

Poor thing. Since I'm pregnant, my breastmilk has been slowly disappearing and as of about a week ago I think it's totally gone. I'm wondering if her immune system is down because she isn't getting as much breastmilk?? Anyway . . . she started running a fever yesterday around lunchtime. She has runny poops and a fever all day today. I've been giving her ibuprofen to help her feel better. She still seems to have an OK appetite. Now that there is no breastmilk, my main concern is that she doesn't dehydrate, so I've been making sure she drinks a lot of water with a splash of juice and cow's milk. Poor thing!!!!!!!!!!

TRENITA!!!!

Trenita is one of my longest time friends! We went to high school together at Redan High School in Stone Mountain, GA. She lives in Columbus, GA now with her husband and their 5 kids - 2 from her first marriage, 2 from his first marriage, and 1 joint baby (in the picture - Tommy). Five kids all under the age of 7!!!!!!! HOLY MOLY!!!

We met in Newnan, GA for a long lunch. It's about half way for both of us. We had a really great time catching up - it was like we had just seen each other a week ago. She looks fantastic and is having a great time being a stay-at-home mommy - finally. It was so great to see her!!!! Next time I'll have to drive all the way to Columbus to see what it's like to live with 5 kids in 1 house :o)

Aunt Leanne's Rocking Chair

She really loves this little rocking chair that her Aunt Leanne gave her. It's in her playroom and she goes to it all of the time and rocks back and forth . . . just to have fun!!! AWWWWW!!!

Sofia Playing with Rubi & Dudley

She absolutely LOVES the dogs!! She thinks Dudley is a horsey (who doesn't :o) and that Rubi is her playmate!!! Here are a couple of cute videos of her playing with them.

I had to trim the rose bushes back in front of our house, so I pulled the rose petals off of the ones that I cut. Sofia had a really fun time playing with the petals!! And here she is putting them on her head!

Nathan Blew Out His Knee!!!!

Nathan was having a little too much fun celebrating Georgia Tech's victory over FSU and accidentally stepped off of a 3 foot retaining wall and totally blew out his knee. Here is a picture of him at the Orthopedist's office the following Monday.




After the MRI we found out that he tore his ACL, MCL, meniscus, and has severe bone bruising! He will have to have surgery. We're not sure when, but it will be sometime this year.
