Today she went into the pool in a diaper, long pants, a long sleeve onesie, socks and a hooded jacket. The instructor, Ms. Michelle, again simulates her falling into the pool and flipping over in the pool. This time she takes Sofia's jacket and puts it over her head while in the water and Sofia pulls it right off. Pretty cool!
She's now done with her lessons! She can float by herself and roll over to float all by herself. This is what a baby that can crawl is expected to be able to do - keep themselves afloat if they fall into any water! We'll be enjoying our neighborhood pool the rest of the summer!
Once Sofia learns how to walk, then we can go back to the lessons and they'll teach her how to swim to the side of the pool and get herself out. We'll be back!! The classes are amazing and the teacher was fantastic. I highly recommend it!!!
