Sofia and Uncle DUCK

Sofia loves her Uncle Duck (as she pronounces his name). She used to say "dung," so "duck" is much better!!!! Here they are playing together on her swing set.

Sofia made a mess!!

AND SHE KNOWS MAMI IS NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT :o)

I was in a hurry to get to a La Leche League meeting so I just gave Sofia the bag of freeze dried strawberries!! It took me longer to clean her up than it would have to put a few of them in a smaller zip lock!! Live and learn :O)

Cole's 1st birthday

After Kelsey's birthday party we headed to one of my other friend's baby's 1st birthday party. Joanna is a good friend that I've made since moving back to Atlanta. She goes to La Leche League and Attachment Parenting meetings, which is where we met. Cole is a cutie pie. Sofia and he like to fight for toys whenever they are together - maybe that's a sign of future love :o) She could be like her mom and like younger men :o)

Here is Cole with Joanna.

By the way, I like Joanna's haircut. She's got naturally curly hair too. Maybe after baby #2 comes I'll go short!!!

Here are Daddy and Sofia playing at the party. Sofia's giving Nathan the "what choo talkin' bout" look!!

Kelsey turns 1!

Stacy and Alex's little girl, Kelsey, turned 1 today!

Here she is chowing down on some birthday cake. It was a really cook cake - called a "Pull-A-Part" cake. It's basically little cupcakes all iced as 1 cake on top. Check it out.

There is a big developmental difference in a 12-month-old and a 19 month-old. At Sofia's 1st birthday, she barely touched the cake. Now Sofia was FULLY aware of what the cake was on top of the table! Here she is sampling it!

We had a good time just hanging out. Here are Deird, Stacy and I.

Sofia's new outfit

She got the cute pink jogging suit from her Tio Jorge and Titi Paola for Christmas! And the cute pink shoes are Clarke's from her Abuelita!

Look at that crazy girl. I had to make her laugh to get her to smile for the picture above, but it looks like she's striking a pose!! TOO FUNNY!!!

Here she is walking the cat walk :o)

And doing the classic leaning on the wall / looking off in the distance pose :o)

She's ready for her modeling career - JUST KIDDING :o)
Here is a video of her dancing!

More Projects Completed by Papi & Aidita!!

Papi and Aidita were here visiting for a week. Of course they couldn't just come and do 1 thing (the play set)!! I PROMISE that I do not force them into labor!! It's all on their own will!!!!!!!!! All I do is keep feeding them meals with plenty of Diet Coke :o)

They helped us take down all of our Christmas decorations and put them back up in the attic. Since Nathan was still on crutches most of their trip and I'm big and preggo, we especially needed help getting up the attic steps!

Aidita painted our large office, the master bathroom and the upstairs hallway. It would seriously take me 3 weeks of straight painting to paint what she can do in 2 days!!! She can do all of the trim work perfectly without any tape!!!

And we FINALLY organized the garage so that it looks like civilized people live in our house. I was so embarrassed to open our garage door. Every time I went out or came home I would hope that no one was walking or driving by to see inside! Papi put up shelves to put our tools and junk on and put up a rail to hang the tools and hung our Chariot bike trailer (from Tio Jose Ernesto) on the wall!!! Our house in Winston-Salem had a huge basement and an outside storage room, so it was difficult to go from that to a house with no basement and no storage room. That's why we have to put so much stuff in our garage. Our attic is Nathan's next project (after the yard :o).

This is what everyone looked like at the end of the week.
Aidita looking refreshed doing some "real" work on her work laptop.

Papi giving his usual salute and resting on the couch.

Nathan is tired, but still has to do his knee exercises on the couch.
Rubi and Dudley are pooped too!!!
WOOOO-HOOOOO!!!!!!!! GRACIAS POR SU AYUDA - no lo pudieramos hacer sin ustedes!!
