Sofia loves Snowmen!

Here she is with our giant 13 foot snowman in the back yard - posing with the puppies!

And here she is a little distracted trying to ride Dudley the horse!

She's learned that she can get the dogs to play with her if she carries around food!!! She's going to me a master trainer :o) Here is a video.

Tagged

My friend Leanne tagged me to look at my computer and pick the fourth file, fourth photo and publish it. Here it is. This was back in January when Sofia was first learning to sit up. Look at those meaty arms and legs!!!
I am supposed to select four more bloggers to keep this going, but couting Leanne, I only know 3!! So I will tag my friend Stacy and my cousin Grace in Italy to see if they respond!!

Sofia smiling at 6 a.m.!!

Ever since we got Sofia night weaned she's gotten into this BAD habit of waking up some time during the 5 a.m. hour!! When we co-slept she usually slept until 7 or 8 a.m.!!!!!!! I think since she's not eating all night she's probably hungry. Since I'm pregnant and my breastmilk has disappeared, I've tried keeping some chilled cow's milk handy for when she wakes up at 5 - NO LUCK! She either won't take it or she drinks 2 sips and screams to be taken out of her crib. The rest of the night she does really well. So now we just get up and go downstairs and eat and play. This is how THRILLED she is to be downstairs!!! I only wish my face looked that happy :o)

Thank GOD for Linda and Elaine!

I don't know what we would have done all weekend without Linda and Elaine!!! They were at our house all weekend helping with Nathan and with Sofia - cooking, cleaning, babysitting, playing, etc. I came down with a HORRIBLE cold and was miserable!! Sofia started coming down with it too, so she was a little grumpy too. Man, it was sad to be at the Almond house this weekend!!!!

Here is Grandmother Linda with Sofia eating a gingerbread man that she made for Sofia. This was the day that Nathan and I spent at the hospital.

Sofia was spoiled over the weekend! Granmother Linda brought her a purple horse and Tanta Elaine brought her these big snowmen. She played with both all weekend! Here she is with the snowmen (and her favorite rocking chair from Aunt Leanne)!

Here is Sofia playing with the beads with Tanta.

Here I am looking ROUGH!

Uncle Doug came by for a while on Saturday too. Here he is feeding Sofia ice cream. She liked that!!
Here is a video of them playing together! Too cute!!!!!! Sofia loves her Uncle Doug.

Linda brought Christmas cookie dough with her when she came on Saturday, so we (well . . . mostly SHE) rolled balls all day. Here she is in the act!

It was a long weekend, but somehow we all made it alive!!!

Nathan has Knee Surgery

Pre-surgery
Today was Nathan's knee surgery. It went very well, although he was in a lot of pain after the surgery. It was out-patient, but since he was in so much pain, we were the last patient to leave the post-op room. We got to the hospital at about 11:15 a.m. and we got home about 8:45 p.m. It was a long day, but at least the surgery was a success.

Nathan going away to see the anesthesiologist.

Anesthesia is starting to kick in!

Doctor Jon York puts his initials on the knee that he is going to operate.

The next morning, Sofia is so happy that Da-da is home!!

Beverage Cart

This is a cute picture of Sofia using her Sesame Street car as a beverage cart!! She came up with this on her own! Nathan and I turned and looked and she was pushing it around the house with her milk and "jugo.".

And here is a picture of our Christmas tree this year. It needs a topper because the Moravian star we used to use doesn't light up anymore. I haven't really had time to go buy another one. Maybe at an after Christmas sale.
