Cookie Swap

My friend Deirdre held a girl's only Cookie Swap at her house. It's such a great idea because I only had to make 1 type of cookie (I took 2: Polvorones & 5-minute Fudge) and I left with like 13 different types of cookies. It's an awesome way to get tons of Christmas cookies without having to do too much work. Plus it was really nice to get together for an evening of girl's only talk without the kiddies. I had a GREAT time!!!

Rhea turns 1

One of the babies from my AP playgroup turned one and we went to her birthday party. Rhea didn't really know what to do with the birthday cake, but as you can see by the second picture Sofia did and wanted to show Rhea how!

Baby #2 Ultrasound Day

Today we went for our ultrasound for Baby #2! Everything went really well. The baby is doing GREAT and Sofia is going to have a little sister!!!!! We are REALLY excited that she'll have a little sister so close in age. Nathan will just have to Georgia Tech-sports-corupt his girls :o)

The event was a family affair. Nathan's mom, my mom, and Elaine all came along for the event. Afterwards we all went to dinner at The Village Tavern in Alpharetta (YES - we have a Village Tavern in Atlanta - YAY!!!!!!).

Because of my kidney issues and the fact that my protein and blood pressure went up with my last pregnancy, they want me to do a 24-hour urine sample now to have a baseline. These are a couple of pictures of Sofia using my urine collection container (empty) as a hat!!

Sofia gets ANOTHER haircut

That girl's hair grows like a weed. It was already back in her face again after her haircut at the end of September in Puerto Rico.

This time we went to a cute little kid salon in Buckhead called "Pigtails and Crewcuts." They have all of these cute chairs for the kids to sit in (old cars, trains, airplanes). Sofia chose the AVION - airplane. Here is a video of her while she's getting her hair cut.

Here is the hairdo they gave her after the cut! AWWWWW!!!! She had 2 pigtails and some jewels in her hair :o)

Riding the Rich's/Macy's Pink Pig

Apparently this is a big Atlanta tradition - to ride the Pink Pig! I didn't know it until we were at Lenox Mall taking pictures with Santa and saw lots of kids headed upstairs and talking about the Pink Pig ride (and my friend Deirdre mentioned taking our kids there this month). Rich's was bought out by Macy's, so it's now the Macy's Pink Pig.

It's perfect for Sofia's age - it's her first amusement ride ever. SHE LOVED IT!!! Here is a video of her on the ride with Abuelita Lila.

Mami Stays in Atlanta

My mom decided to stay in Atlanta with us for an extra 4 days!!!! YAY!! We had such a great time with her here and I was able to get a little extra help with Sofia.

We had to do an emergency trip to Gymboree on one of our outings because Sofia's cheap diapers (I was trying out the Target brand - no good!) leaked through!

Short visit with Jose & Claudette and Nancy

My brother, Claudette and Nancy flew in and out of Atlanta for their trip to Tallahassee (then rented a car and drove down there and back). So they came back Sunday night and stayed with us until their flight Monday afternoon. It was good for Jose and Claudette to get to see our house and for everyone to get to hang out. Here are a couple of pictures.
